Minute Maid calcium + Vitamin D Orange Juice

The calcium was vegan sourced... but they have recently added Vitamin D to the calcium fortified drink... the label specifically says D3.

Vegans think: D3.. not for me! D2 is fine.. and I like star wars.. so R2-D2 is my friend. My understanding is D2 is always vegan.. and D3 is never...

The minute maid representative said its sourced from lanolin and kept saying "natural" and "the animal is not harmed when the lanolin is obtained".. isn't that swell.

Onion Rings

A&W Onion rings are not vegan (milk indredients)... Licks (in Ontario Canada) is still the only place that are good.

Capsules...

Anytime you get medication / vitamins in capsules... they are almost always
gelatin capsules... I've been on medication for 2 years and I would open up the capsule and pour the insides on to some applesauce and try to swallow it in one gulp. The problem with this... is that if it is supposed release slowly... then it won't, if it tastes bad.. then it will. very much so.

Recently, the stuff I was trying to take tasted so bad, my body would start to gag... awful.

Enter V-Caps from Now Foods . I set up what looked like a drug lab on my kitchen table transferring the insides from gelatin to veggie capsules... and everything is awesome now!.

Dole Whip

2004- In Toronto Summer's ice cream parlour in Yorkville had a handmade sign with the ingredients listed. It appeared vegan. We went to town, soft serve for breakfast, lunch & dinner. We began to see it everywhere: CNE, Disneyworld.
Then I researched the product. NOT VEGAN.

We don't need another hero
"With no Lick’s in the downtown core anymore one wonders where they might track down a decent veggie burger. After reviewing the Hero Burger site about a year ago and seeing that their Soul Burger is listed as “100% Certified Vegan” I made my way over to Hero and picked one up. I got back to my office and began to enjoy this admittedly fantastic veggie burger. The only thing that didn’t sit quite right with me was that the bun had a yellowish hue to it so I emailed Hero to ensure that the bun was vegan. I received an email back from Hero Burger’s Director of Operations confirming that the patty is vegan but the bun is not."
